– I remember finding an article about a cold shower after a hot shower helping the immune system adapt to the change of whether, but I also remember learning about a sudden change in temperature shocking the immune system and weakening it. I’ve even heard people dying from this around summer time when they tried to cool off using a cold shower so which is it good or bad?
– For the people dying from this during the summer, did they die from a heart attack induced by the abrupt temperature change? Or from a disease they picked up while their immune system was weakened?
Does the abrupt temperature from hot to cold water affect adaptive immunity or innate immunity? Might it have an impact on the skin, and therefore on innate immunity?
When it comes to immunology, why is it that humans are more closely related to pigs and not chimps/apes? And How does this fit in the evolutionary tree?
